These terms set out the agreement between you and Canadian Sportsbooks (thecoldpressery.com) when you read, compare or click through from anything published on this site. We compare sportsbooks that accept Canadian bettors, and this page explains what that comparison is, what it is not, and the rules that apply to you when you use it.
If you do not accept these terms, please stop using the site. Continued use means you accept them as written, including any revisions we publish later.
How we earn money, and what that does not buy
Canadian Sportsbooks is free to read because the sportsbooks we list pay commission when a reader signs up through one of our links. That is an advertising relationship and we state it plainly rather than burying it.
What commission does not do is decide rank order. Ratings on this site are editorial. An operator cannot pay to move up the list, cannot pay to have a limitation removed from its write-up, and cannot pay to have a negative assessment revised. If a brand we have a commercial arrangement with starts paying slowly or changes its terms for the worse, the write-up changes accordingly. Where we have no commercial relationship with a site we mention, nothing about the coverage changes either way.
You never pay more because you arrived through us. Bonus terms, odds and limits are the same whether you click our link or type the address yourself.
Age, eligibility and where you may bet
You must be of legal gambling age in your province or territory to use this site's links or open an account with any operator we list. In Alberta, Manitoba, Quebec and most other provinces the minimum age is 18. In Ontario, British Columbia, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, Newfoundland and Labrador, Saskatchewan and the three territories it is 19. Where the two differ, the higher figure applies to you.
Every operator featured here is licensed offshore, under an international jurisdiction, and accepts bettors from across Canada. No bonus on this site is free money. Each one requires a deposit or a qualifying stake of your own funds, and each carries wagering requirements that must be cleared before a withdrawal is possible.

Ranked first on our list at 10.0, largely on the strength of a combo-bet promotion that rewards the way many Canadian bettors already stake — multi-leg tickets across NHL and NFL cards rather than single-game moneylines. The up-to-40% boost applies to accumulator returns, which makes it more useful to parlay players than a flat deposit match would be.
Limitation: a percentage boost on combos is only worth what the underlying prices are worth. If the base odds on each leg are shaded, the boost partly compensates for a worse starting line. Compare the individual leg prices against another book before you assume the uplift is a gain. The maximum boost tier also normally requires a high number of legs, which is the hardest ticket to land.

If you fund in CAD, the amount you actually receive depends on the conversion applied at the time, and currency handling can add a cost that never appears in the headline figure. Payments, payouts and the parts we do not control
